Less than a month ago, I posted about how to edit digital book covers for your bookstagram from a free phone app, and at that point in my life, I was 95% positive that I had discovered one of the book world’s best kept secrets. But oh no! Here I am with LIFE CHANGING editing advice!
I started blogging almost two years ago, and it has definitely changed a lot about the way I live my life.
I’ve always been a reader, but honestly? I didn’t know there were people on this earth who read 100+ a year until I joined this corner of the internet. I thought that was impossible! I would have laughed in your face if you told me that was a thing! But now I am simply in awe. 😌 There are so many things about this community that surprised me when I started, but that was probably one of the first.
Have you ever wondered how bookstagram accounts upload photos with books they don't own yet? Or have you ever envied accounts who have mastered the spaces between caption paragraphs?

More than a year after Part I of this series, I’m back with some more observations and general *emotional realizations* about the book community. When I hit that big “Publish” button on my very first blog post, I had no idea what I was getting into. I knew Goodreads was a thing, but I didn’t know about the vast amount of books I was overlooking. I only knew about 10 other blogs, some of the most popular ones, I wasn’t aware of how many other bloggers I would eventually meet and grow friendships with. Back then, I still had so many things to learn, most of which I would have to grasp based on my own experiences!
Let's take a look at my first official year with the book community!
I started this blog at the end of September 2018, and at the end of that year, I hadn't done nearly enough to make a 2018 wrap up. And now that I've had a full year on this platform, I thought it would be fun to make a wrap up of my favorite things from 2019!
