The Third Annual Book Blogger Awards // My Nominations!!

Once again, I am late to the game. Well, I’m actually right on time, but the nominations close very soon!

The Third Annual Book Blogger Awards are hosted by the amazing May @ Forever and Everly! If you were not able to make a post with your nominations, but you still want to participate, there is a Google Form for the nominations, as well! Voting closes tonight, July 20th.

For my nominations, I tried my best to put each blogger into only one category. However, a lot of these bloggers fit into multiple categories! Be sure to check them out soon! 🙂

According to the rules, you can nominate up to three bloggers for each category. Sometimes I nominated one, two, or three bloggers, because it was so hard to choose just one! Also, I did not do all of the categories. Please see the official post for all categories!

 BEST OF THEIR AGE

Best Pre-Teen/Teen Book Blogger (13-19)

✨ Kelly @ Another Book In The Wall: Kelly is such a wonderful blogger! She is incredibly nice, and her blog design is so beautiful. Her posts are so well thought out, and you can tell that she puts a lot of time, love, and effort into her blog. She also recently created a Teen Influencers Book Blogger Directory, and it’s amazing! I love that she supports teen bloggers and encourages us to do anything we want with our blogs!

✨ Kay @ Hammock of Books: Kay is such an awesome teen blogger, as well! She clearly knows what she is doing and has a fun, entertaining blogger voice. Her posts are always exciting and fun!

Best Adult Book Blogger (20+)

✨ Kal @ Reader Voracious: Kal is just one huge inspiration. I’m so glad I found her blog when I did! She is the queen of spreadsheets and she is one of the most organized book bloggers I know. All of her posts are amazing to read, and her blog design is also amazing! If you don’t know Kal already, she is also very kind and helpful, and just an all-around great blogger. She also hosts several blog programs for international book bloggers, which is absolutely fantastic!

 BEST GENRE BLOGGERS

Young Adult

screenshot-2019-07-18-10.39.52.png

✨ Rain @ BookdragonismRain is so good at hyping up books (in the best kind of way!), and every time she reviews something, I really want to read it! I probably get most of my anticipated YA releases from Rain. She’s a great YA book blogger, and an awesome bookdragon in general.

✨ Mandy and Sha @ Book Princess Reviews: Mandy and Sha are awesome bloggers, hands down. Mandy has been running the blog for years now, and although Sha has not been around for as long, both of them make an unstoppable team. I love their princess design and their book rating system! And honestly, I love reading just about every post from BPR. Mandy and Sha also sometimes make their own Disney-related book tags, and I absolutely adore them!

 BEST OF BOOK BLOGGING

Best Book Recommendations

Screenshot 2019-07-19 11.46.21

✨ Margaret @ Weird ZealMargaret makes so many good book recommendation posts! And she usually makes her recommendation posts with themes, such as books to read based on Marvel movies or summer contemporaries. She has a lot of great posts overall, but I think I get more excited about her recommendations than anyone else’s.

Best Discussion Posts

Screenshot 2019-07-19 11.18.22.png

✨ Briana and Krysta @ Pages Unbound Reviews: Briana and Krysta are not only a great pair of bloggers in general, but they are also amazing at making unique discussions!

orangutan-librarian-logo-2.jpg

✨ The Orangutan Librarian: The Orangutan Librarian has some of the best bookish discussions out there! Her discussions are very entertaining and thought-provoking.

Best Blog Aesthetic

final-blog-header.png

✨ Kat @ Novels and Waffles: Kat is the queen of cute blog aesthetics. I’ve always loved her blog design and graphics, but recently she took it to a completely different level! Her blog is probably the cutest, most creative blog I’ve ever seen – her theme is waffles and breakfast, and who doesn’t like waffles? If that’s not aesthetic, then I don’t know what is.

 MISCELLANEOUS

Best Social Media Influencer

paper-fury-logo.jpg

✨ Cait @ Paper Fury: I can’t think of anyone who’s more influential than Cait. She’s a pro at keeping up with social media, knowing exactly what everyone’s thinking, and she’s so influential that I’ve seen her thrive in basically all of the social media platforms. We’ve all seen Cait’s posts, even if we didn’t know her yet. Why? Because she’s iconic.

Friendliest Member of the Community

✨ Sophie @ Me & Ink: Sophie is so nice and supportive! She comments regularly and has a great blogging personality, as well! 🙂

paper-blots-logo.png

✨ Julianna @ Paper Blots: Ju is awesome at blogging, but I especially love reading her recommendations. I always discover so many great diverse books when I go over to her blog, and I get so excited to read her posts!

forever-and-everly-logo.png

✨ May @ Forever and Everly: May is just so good at everything, but she also makes me want to read every book at the same time. She’s especially good at recommending diverse books! She reads a lot of them, and I trust her to promote the best and most interesting diverse reads!

 MOST IMPORTANTLY

Best New Book Blogger (started blog after August 2018)

caitlin-althea-logo.jpg

✨ Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea: Caitlin has grown so much since she started blogging! I had the pleasure of meeting her early on, and her blogging skills have always been outstanding. Caitlin is super enthusiastic to be in this community, she’s extremely kind and supportive, and I know that her blog is going places! I honestly don’t know how she does it, but she is definitely rising to the top! 💕

✨ Lais @ The Bookish Skies: Lais is such a unique book blogger, and I can’t believe she is new as well! I always love reading her posts, especially the ones she makes about her home country, Brazil. Lais is not afraid to be creative, and she’s also one of the nicest bloggers I know.

Best Small Book Blogger (under 1,000 followers) [two winners!]

✨ Olivia @ Purely Olivia: I’ve always looked up to Olivia and her blog, and I think she deserves more recognition! Her posts are so interesting and fun!

cropped-bookcheshirecat-4.png

Best Overall Book Blogger [two winners!]

drizzle-hurricane-books-logo.png

✨ Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books: Marie is, hands down, my favorite blogger of all time. When I started my blog, I scoured all of her posts for advice. I learned so much from her posts, and she has always encouraged me and and a lot of other bloggers I know! She is so kind-hearted, and she is also not afraid to talk about things such as anxiety/mental health and blogger struggles. I honestly think that I could have placed Marie in all of these categories!

I hope you know that, if you were mentioned in this post or you were not, I love you all very much! The blogging community has been so kind to me since I stated a few months ago, and I’m so proud of all of you! I tried my best to include everyone in a category which fit their blog and style, but even if you’re not included in this post, you’re still special to me. 💕

also, even though this post is very late and perhaps not very long, it took me so many hours! and I still ran out of time! I’m so sorry that it’s not the best thing ever, but to everyone included in this post: y’all are amazing! 😊

  11. xandra, thank you soooooo much for nominating me! you have no idea how much it means to hear your kind words!
i am still a bit reluctant sometimes to share about my country, even after creating a feature solely dedicated to that, because i feel like it’s quite of a responsibility to talk about my whole country to others, since my experience is obviously not a reflection of every brazilian out there. but comments like yours boost my confidence that i’m doing a great job and i’m so, incredibly thankful!
you’ve always been one of the kindest bloggers i know and your discussion posts, specifically, are so inspiring to me! i hope to one day be as great on writing discussions as you are. once again, thank you so much for nominating me and for being the sweetest 💛

    1. You’re very welcome, Lais! 😊 I adore your unique posts and your cute blog!

I understand that it can be scary to post things like that, because everyone from your country might view it a little differently than you, but I love reading about Brazil from your perspective! Actually, a few years ago I started to search for websites about certain countries from the point of view of teenagers, so I already loved reading what you had to say! 💕

And thank you so so much for your kind words! 😭💕 I can’t wait to see more discussion posts from you, and to see your blog grow!
