Hello, friends! Who’s ready to see me attempt yet another 24-hours of reading!
*crickets in the background because everyone I know is asleep*
Let’s get started!
MORNING:
5:00am – This time around, I woke up at 5am because I knew I needed more sleep than last time. On my first 24-hour Readathon, I was running on 3 hours of sleep. 3 HOURS! No thank you, that is no way to live.
So I gave myself 5 hours this time.
But I had a bit of a dilemma trying to figure out which book I should read. Sure, I have plenty of books lying around, but most of them were not great 1st books, you know?
I eventually decided to read Shadow and Bone. I had been trying to save it for my “Trilogy Time” Readathon, but I don’t think I’ll have time to read the WHOLE trilogy. I might as well get started now!
5:25am – I have my snacks and I am ready to munch!
(I actually decided to finish Broken Things instead, because I had only about 60 pages left.)
6:00am – I just finished Broken Things! And… What did I just read? What is life? I don’t know how I feel…
6:20am – Okay, I officially started Shadow and Bone, and I got up to make some coffee ☕️
7:30am – (page 40) Is it too soon to say I’d do anything for Mal?
9:45am – I got distracted and started to watch some booktube instead 😆 whoops
9:30am – I made more coffee! ☕️
10:48am – I know this has nothing to do with the book, but I strange bird started making noises near my window and I got scared 😆
10:55am – So I was dying to know what a kefta looked like, so I Googled it and all I got was a bunch of meats! 😆 (and then I searched “kefta clothing” and found what I was looking for)
11:40am – At this point, I’m not on the edge of my seat or anything. I mean, I still want to know what happens next, but it’s a little slow.
12:20pm – I made myself some soup! (and also some tea!☕️)
1:00pm – When will something happen? (page 190)
And then: (page 196)
2:00pm – I’m not finished (or anywhere near that) with the book, but I need a break! (page 243)
For some reason I keep getting distracted by things! So I decided to switch to my next book – A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. I’m listening to the audiobook, and I like the book, but not the guy narrating it. I’ll read the physical version when I finish this post!
I’m currently on Chapter 2, and so far there’s already been a murder (!)
That’s all for now! I will post my next update whenever I get the chance! 😀
So fun reading these from you, Xandra! I should attempt at least like a 12 hr readathon. I could never do 24!

Thank you! 🙂
I think that would be so fun! You should definitely try it some time, maybe when you have time to read a book you’ve been meaning to read for a while 🙂
