I’m going to be reading for 24 hours straight…
Join me as I struggle through this new experience!
When I was young, maybe about 11 years old, I had a little pocket calendar. In that calendar, I selected a random date during the Summer and marked that as my “reading day”. The plan? To stay up all night and read to my heart’s content.
And did I ever do it?
Of course not! My parents would never let me!
But now I’m an adult, it’s winter break, and I can do whatever I want. 😀
I made up the following “themes” so that I wouldn’t be stuck with one large TBR, and because I’m more of a mood-reader 🙂
December 18: “Books I MUST Read”
This theme is for standalone books that everyone had been telling me to read. On this day, I will read some of those books which I have been meaning to read all year (or for the past few years), but I just never got around to them.
This one starts tomorrow!
January 8: “Great 1st Books”
*this date was moved to the 8th.
For this theme, I will read a few books which are the first book in a series. And there are so many series I haven’t started yet!
January ?: “Trilogy Time”
*this Readathon will happen whenever I have time!
For this theme, I will try my hardest to complete a trilogy!
I know, it might sound a bit difficult, but I’m going to try. If I don’t end up reading a trilogy, I will at least try to read 3 books from the same series.
January ?: “Catching Up”
This theme is the easiest, because I will just read a few books that I’ve been meaning to read but were not always high on my emotional priority list. I might read an ARC or whatever other random book I feel like reading. We’ll see!
⭐️ I’m also only going to do this Readathon if I have time… ever since I posted that I would do “4 Readathons”, I’ve been a bit worried for my health, so maybe I’ll only do 3!😄
On each of these Readathon days, I will try to post once in the middle of the day, and then again at the end of the 24 hours so you can see my progress!
⭐️ If you want to read with me during any of these Readathons, but you know you’ll be busy on the day it is scheduled for, don’t worry! Feel free to read for any of these themes on another day, if you want! But don’t forget to comment about it below or tag me in your Readathon post – I would love to see how your Readathon day goes!
Happy reading, everyone! Have a great rest of your December! ❄️ ❄️
Sounds cool

Oooh good luck with this! I’m thinking of doing a 24 hour readathon now that my winter break has started 🙂 Do you know which series you’re planning on starting/finishing in January?

Thank you! 😀 I’m not sure what I will be reading yet, but I am thinking about either the Grisha series, Shades of Magic, or 3 books in the Raven Cycle.
Good luck with your readathon as well!

Thanks! The Raven Cycle is one of my favorite series ever, and I actually just finished the Grisha trilogy – I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those series! 😊
